Beni-Ourain

Beni Ourain carpets are particularly popular, while they are considered a real design classic since the midcentury era in the 50s. The Moroccan carpets were traditionally hand-knotted by Berber tribes in the Atlas Mountains. Their aesthetics and the combination of traditional craftsmanship and high quality wool is what makes Berber rugs long-lasting classics. Original Beni Ourain carpets are still hand knotted in the northern Atlas Mountains exclusively by women according to ancient tradition.
