This contemporary piece originates from Ait Ouaghrda and brings a distinctly graphic approach to traditional Moroccan weaving. Measuring 160 × 260 cm, the composition is built around a strong central black field, bordered by narrow geometric bands and framed by lighter woven sections filled with fine, multicoloured horizontal lines.

Woven entirely from exceptionally soft sheep’s wool, the carpet has a refined tactile quality that contrasts with the precision of its graphic composition. The deep black centre creates a powerful visual anchor, while the subtle variations of colour within the surrounding sections introduce movement and depth without overwhelming the overall structure.
